What is the purpose of the Florida FUNDamentals Web Site?

The Florida Fundamentals Web Site is a financial comparative analysis tool for use by school foodservice administrators for analyzing and interpreting the financial outcomes of their operation so they can make better financial decisions. It allows administrators to compare their operation with other similar operations by selecting demographic criteria that match their own.

Can anyone use the Florida FUNDamentals Web Site?

Yes. The Florida FUNDamentals Web Site can be accessed and used by anyone with a computer and Internet access, however, only users with a valid username and password can view SFA specific information.

Will my SFA information be visible to anyone using the Web Site?

Yes and no. While the information is fully accessible to the general public, it is presented anonymously. In other words, the SFA name(s) in the reports and charts are not shown unless the user provides a valid username and password on the Site Information Web page. SFA personnel who log into the Web site will only have access to their SFA's information. For the purpose of comparative analysis, users should not login with their SFA username and password.

How do I print a report?

The best way to print the reports is by clicking the printer icon located in the top left corner of the report frame. This should bring up the printer dialogue box. Select your printer and print the report.

How do I print a chart?

To print a chart, follow these steps:

  1. When the chart has finished loading in the browser, right-click anywhere on the chart.
  2. The short-cut menu will appear. Select 'Save Picture As...'
  3. The SaveAs dialogue box will appear. Navigate to the folder where you want to store the chart.
  4. In the filename box, type a meaningful name for the chart.
  5. You have the choice to save the chart as either a jpeg (.jpg) or as a bitmap (.bmp) image. Make a choice.
  6. Open the saved chart using a program such as Paint, PictureViewer, or any other program capable of opening the image.
  7. Click 'File' in the menubar and select 'Print'.
  8. If your printer gives you the option, select the option to 'Fit to Page'. Note: Some of the charts may be wide. Use your printer option to select the Landscape printing layout.
  9. Click the Print button.

How do I access information for a specific SFA?

Once you have received your Username and Password, you may enter this information into the appropriate text boxes on the Site Information page in the Specific Site Criteria area.

Where are the SFA names?

If you have not entered in a username and password for the Web Site, you will not see the SFA names. Instead, sites matching your criteria are identified with only a number.
